TruScreen establishes European service and maintenance centre and signs European distribution Agreement.

First European order (NZD $150,000) to be shipped in December 2014.

The world’s only EC certified manufacturer of an electro-light tissue differentiating device for the detection of cervical cancer, TruScreen (NZX.TRU) today announced that it had signed an Agreement with an Austrian medical services company to establish a European service and maintenance centre and to distribute TruScreen in central and eastern Europe.

The Agreement provides exclusive rights to distribute TruScreen in Austria, Germany, Switzerland and Romania, and the right to distribute TruScreen on a non-exclusive basis in several other Eastern European markets.

An initial order to deliver NZD $150,000 of TruScreen’s unique cervical cancer screening systems has been placed and is to be shipped this month. The majority of this shipment will be placed into public health programs in Romania.

In addition, the agreement will establish, in Tulbing Austria, TruScreen’s service and maintenance centre for Europe, the Middle East and North Africa

TruScreen Chairman Mr Robert Hunter said: “this agreement, which initiates TruScreen’s sales in Central and Eastern Europe, provides a complementary sales channel to our existing China and Latin American markets and establishes a logistics and customer service hub for other European distributors and customers in the Middle East and North Africa.  In particular we look forward to the growth in this market when we release our next generation device later in 2015.”
